Rick Spell is our Construction Coordinator. Rick comes from a diverse construction background where he started off working in the warranty department for a large tract builder. Over the years he worked his way through various positions with other residential builders until finally coming to Prestige Designer Homes. Rick likes to say that he learned the construction business in reverse. While working in the warranty department at a large tract builder, he had to deal with and correct mistakes that occurred during the construction process. From those experiences he learned how to do it right the first time. From there, Rick worked for several custom builders in the north Dallas area where he developed a keen eye for the details that are necessary when building a fine custom home. Finally Rick came to work for Prestige Designer Homes where he described the company as "a breath of fresh air." You can reach Rick by e-mail at Rick.S@PrestigeDesignerHomes.com.
At Prestige Designer Homes, we believe it is a builder’s responsibility to use new building materials and technologies that will make today’s home more comfortable and less expensive to operate. We take every job personally and strive to build the house as if it were our own personal home. Even on spec houses, we use a combination of quality building materials such as radiant barrier roof decking, house wraps, foam insulation, cellulose insulation, vinyl windows and tankless hot water heaters. These features are not commonly found in spec homes, so that just goes to show our commitment to using quality materials... even on a spec house where no one is watching! The energy savings from these materials will result in lower utility bills, month after month. There is simply no excuse for not taking advantage of them, yet many builders still build the same old way. We believe that education is the homeowner’s best resource. Before you select your builder, take the time to sit down and ask questions about new materials and technologies. Once you understand the options available today, we’re sure you will want them in your new home. Call us, we’ll be glad to answer any questions you might have.
